I watched a woman running yesterday.

I was driving my car in popular beachside tourist area (where the Commonwealth Games were held) - and i had to pullup at a set of traffic lights. To my left, I saw a woman jogging towards the lights, she was obviously out for a bit of a long run , having water bottles on a belt . She was obviously not bothered that she had to stop at the lights and it didn't appear that she had been overexerting herself. When the lights changed in her favor, she calmly walked across the crossing, having a sip of water - and slowly resumed jogging on the other side- all very relaxed. I decided then and there that I need to be more like this woman!!! :)

Yes, life is not a race - we all know what’s waiting at the finishing line! So just enjoy😎🏃

I have always wanted to put some kind of sign on the back of my car -- "Why hurry? You will get to your grave soon enough."

That was me! Haha but I do try to run like this most of the time (apart from the races 😏) For me, running is for my joy and happiness and wellbeing and I realise now that I hate following any plan (apart from C25K obviously) and would rather do my own thing.

I did go out yesterday for a long one and had a water belt on and stopped a few times to chat to someone and pick up a baby's sock that he dropped and then had to wait at a gate for others to pass, blah blah. I didn't stop the Garmin at any time, I dropped my pace and I loved every single minute of it. I'm not giving that up. Ever.

Yep, why even bother running at all, could just walk or get a taxi. Maybe just sit on a nice couch and read the telegraph hehe :)
