2nd 10K 😁

Despite the wind and the rain I got out there today and completed my second 10K. Very spontaneous as I went with the idea of doing 6K (this seems to be a very comfortable distance for me) but pushed myself at the end... I got to 8K and wondered if at that point it would feel enough and wanted to stop but thought 'no I'm too close to that 10K to stop now' and went for it. I have to say as well that the last 2K were actually easier than the previous 8!! 🤔😅 Uploaded that to the runner's world cup so I'm chuffed that was my starting effort on the first day of the finals! 👍😁

Yep! It's usually those spontaneous moments that give the greatest. ☺️

You’re right, when everything falls into place, the right time, the right place, the way we feel, the stars aligned 🙂💫

I was quite pleased with my time too... 4 minutes quicker than the first 10K I did. 👍

That’s great and faster too

Well done and I know the feeling, my 10K's are mostly 'by accident' too rather than planned 😅

That sounds fantastic, well done Skiddle1 - and knocking 4 mins off your previous time is a big achievement.I'm planning to hit 10k for the first time on Sunday... my aim is simply to do the distance, not (too) worried about time, but I will of course check my time :)

Awww good luck. My advice is to take it real steady so you don't tire yourself out too quick and slow down to a walk just for a few seconds if your body is telling you to. Definitely don't be bothered about time the first time otherwise that's a sure way to over do it. Do a real good warm up too. Hope it goes OK for you and well done getting this far. ☺️
