Hi. I've been jogging along for about 15 months since completing C25K. Sometimes less than 5K, but mainly around that or a little more. 6K is the most. I use Strava so I know how far/fast I'm going. Is there an audio plan to get to 10K along the lines of Ju-Ju's magic plan?
audio for 10K?: Hi. I've been jogging along... - Bridge to 10K
audio for 10K?
There might be something on the Nike Run Club app, which I have no experience of.
I just listen to podcasts when running and use my watch to prompt me.
If it's a structured plan that you are looking for then why not try out ju-ju- Magic Plan. One that will get you running 10k and another for 60 Minutes.
I'm not aware of a 10k audio guided plan .Most here that use a plan use Ju ju's
The NRC app just has guided 10k runs , not 10k training plans
Thanks. Wonder if there’s a market for 5210K ?
It would be relatively straightforward to do something audio-based for 30 mins to 60 minutes, but doing something distance based would be a lot more difficult.
The C25K app actually uses audio files it plays continuously in the background during a session for the spoken instructions. They're mostly silence. It has instructions to tell the phone to dip other audio sources at certain points when the instructor is speaking.
I forget whether Strava can announce distances as you do runs.
There’s an app on the Apple App Store. I’m assuming it’s available for Android too. It’s free.
I've been using this app for about 8 weeks, almost keeping up to the plan. I've got to 7K and 50mins. Really pleased. The runs are varied and I now know the difference between jogging, steady run and tempo run! I'm really feeling the difference too - hills are now inclines 😁
Great. Thanks, I’ll have a look
Gmhmd1 , as mentioned in my reply to nowster , you can set Strava to announce distances as you run. I just used that, in conjunction with the Magic Plan, to get to 10k.
I used an app that I found on Google Play store. It's by ZenLabs, just called 10k trainer I think. As I recall it gives you audio prompts, and there's an option to start from week 9 if you're a C25K graduate, rather than from the beginning. I liked it.
