Keeping the momentum going 🐶

Quick bit of background - after many years of non-sportiness (including as a child) I probably had a midlife crisis in Dec 2019 and packed in my job to become self employed. Worried about being idle so I wanted to achieve something totally different and properly challenge myself so set out to do C25K. I haven’t done it in an amazing time or anything but am pleased that getting on for 2 years later, I’m still running. It ebbs and flows a bit but what I’ve found is to stay interested I need to set myself new challenges. Started Bridge to 10K 2 weeks ago and am doing the shortest weekly runs with a new running buddy, Peggy ❤️ She loved it and I really look forward to my runs with her. Just wanted to share that you will get bored if you always do the same runs so mix it up a bit and bring the fun back!!

Mixing up the runs is always a good idea and it sounds as if you and Peggy are enjoying it all 😍

Good luck with the Bridge 👍

Thank you! If you’d have told me 2 years ago I’d be doing a. 10k programme I honestly would have not believed it! Hope your running is going well too x

That very first run on Week 1 has a lot to answer for! 😂

I always ran exactly the same route as that way I knew how far I’d gone. In the last couple of weeks I’ve got more adventurous and have to say it’s a good move. PS Peggy is very cute 😍

Thank you! I have another 3 doggies at home too, so plenty of choice of running buddies! I was a creature of habit I must admit but enjoying getting a bit more adventurous too!

Peggy looks like a great running partner. And full of beans by the look of it. Mixing up your runs and having a loyal running partner is definitely a good combination. Happy running!
