Well, that’s almost it - one last run to go on our mother-daughter running journey. What an amazing few weeks it has been on Dabby-dot’s C25K. I have to admit to having really enjoyed running it all again, just for the sake of it and in such good company.

We took another new route for today but still out onto the heathland commons and woodland trails we love. I shall have to plan something different for the big day, or perhaps leave it up to Dabby-dot to choose whether we turn left or right…… 😊

Congratulations to your daughter on almost completing C25K, let Dabby choose the graduating route.

What a great time you've had. You'll miss her when she heads off to uni!

in reply to Yesletsgo

I will. I have been feeling all nostalgic about all sorts of things today - emptying nest syndrome I think.... πŸ˜”

I know the feeling :( two of mine were home over the holidays, one's just gone back (for the second time this term lol, he came for a quick visit over the weekend), the other is thinking of moving out for good to pursue his career somewhere a bit livelier. Don't see the eldest much, he has a great career and a lovely fiancee. I tell myself it's like teaching them to ride a bike when they're little, you know you've succeeded when you see them heading off into the distance as fast as they can go....

It only seems a couple of weeks ago that you posted that first mother daughter run, how time flies. Good luck to Dabby D for her graduation run although I'm sure she won't need it. Have fun both of you X😊

I’m going to miss those mother-daughter run updates! So I can only imagine the mixed feelings for you both! But it sounds like it’s a great setup for future opportunities to connect on mother-daughter runs!

in reply to CBDB

Thanks CBDB. I am hoping that she keeps going so that I can cheer her on from a distance via Strava 😊🀞🏼

It would be healthy for her if she can keep it up at uni. A run can really help to clear the brain and get more focus for those studies!

in reply to

Absolutely! AND Parkrun happens in the park right next to her halls!

You’ve done well Dolly-Dot. Why not present her with a home-made medal on her graduation run?
