Hiya,

Took 2 days off after sunday. Sunday I did my second 10K run in the morning and somewhere around a 10K walk in the afternoon, visiting the local flower corso (ended up with 32.000+ steps in total). Normally you stand somewhere and the parade passes by you. But this year the wagons were parked throughout the city and you had to go from one to the other. Plus the road to and from the city. So sunday was a pretty exhausting day. I thought 2 days off was well earned.

So went out this morning for a 5K. Was not really in the mood and the toxic 10, in which my body felt like it still had to wake up, did not help. But once I was going well, I was glad I was running.

Not much to say, had to speed up 1 time to reach an open spot to the side where I could wait for a big truck to go by. Small road, so not to be recommended to stay on the road when a car (or truck) passes you. The edge of the road is not broad either, slipping into a ditch. But despite this, I do like running there, nice scenery with cows and sheep.

Passed some people on bikes and some cyclists. No big groups of cycling terrorists luckily. The last 0,5 to 1,0 km I sped up hard to finish my 5K under the 45 minutes and finished in 43:30.

And that is another 5K in the legs. 1 toe hurts a little at the nail since my 10K. Not my longest toe, but the one besides it. I wonder if these shoes are too small after all. They run very good, but the toe worries me. Anyhow, still have loads of miles on these shoes, so...

Now I do am wondering when I will have my next run. I would normally say Friday another 5K with a longer run on Sunday. But going home on Sunday and not sure if I can fit a run in. So maybe I better do a 5K or 7K on Saturday? Due to life, the run after will be only on Thursday...

I will have to think!

Cheers, Evy

Wow great day on Sunday for you, the parade sounds lovely and a great alternative way to do it. Well done on today’s run, good luck working out the logistics of the next few. Happy running 🤗

The flower corso is nice to see. There were 13 wagons this year. But I liked this lil cutie.

Another 5km under your belt you’re getting quicker . Well done. are you still on your Jeffing. ? Flowers are lovely. I’ve got 2 black toes just now one on a hammer toe and on a smaller toe different feet been painful, seeing podiatrist Monday , think toes pushing forward in trainers. Hope yours get better🤞

I am still Jeffing, yes. Feels much more comfortable. I don't need to be faster, just thought to try to get under 45 minutes. My fastest ever was 40:something. So it was not my fastest 5K. But it's fun to have little challenges.

The toe is feeling better, don't think it will blacken (yet). But it appears that these shoes might be just a tad too tight for running 10K.
