W6R1 - 8 runs to 10km!

Not so much to write home about today - I was statistically due a less-than-great run and this was it! I wasn’t feeling great and I found the run pretty tough but actually was faster than over the same distance last week and I once again regained local legend status from my husband! 4km done in 27:35 at a pace of 6:53/km.

Well done! You’re doing great and always good to grab lic legend status / bonus points if it’s from your husband 😂

Don’t forget to ease off on pace for one of your runs, I get that you’re fast, but running slowly sometimes is good for you in a different way! 👍👍👍😊

Thanks Jools - I am still not very good at slowing down, even when I’m trying to (I was slower than usual for most of today’s run but sped up in the last km). I don’t think I have great control of my pace, I tend to always do negative splits but by accident really, it’s definitely something I need to work on!

Great run, even better that it was achieved when you didn’t feel great, shows real strength in your legs now. Happy running 🤗

Thank you - I agree, definitely feels like progress as I wouldn’t have been able to do that six or so weeks ago, so nice to see the improvements ☺️

Well done you I am the same about slowing down find it difficult but have been listening to pod casts whilst running this week and it has slowed me down slightly as I’m not running to the music if that makes sense.

Yes, I do the same and that definitely helps, I could see how much I sped up when I had music on for the last km yesterday!

You’re ticking off these runs splendidly! Great work 👍

And I’m sure you’re always a legend in your husband’s eyes 😍

That's really something you still managed to run while feeling off and still got a fantastic time! Hopefully on the next ones you'll be feeling better. Ticking these runs off one by one though, 10k getting closer 😃
