I waited as late as I could to go out but it was still 29C at 7:30pm so I decided to go as slowly as I could and just get through it! For once I didn’t struggle with slowing down, my overall pace was 7:32/km and I did 5km exactly in 37:41, not actually my slowest 5km but not far off. Straight into a cold shower when I got home and looking forward to the promised rain and cooler temperatures for my 7km on Saturday!

Well done for your run! Brave to go out and run in 29 degrees, but do take care. 👏👍

Great going in this heat! Running really slowly is the way to go but we’ll all notice a difference in our running once it’s cooler 🥵
