W3R1 - 17 runs to 10km!

I’ve been using the short run of the week for speed intervals but it was far too hot to think about that this morning so I aimed for an easy pace and averaged 7:10/km. I was fairly spent by the end (very little shade along the route!) and I did 3.51km in 25:08 so I’ll need to go much slower for the 5km on Wednesday if this heat wave continues!

Well done running in this current heatwave, and at a good pace. I’ve stopped running until the heatwave ends but I managed a 7k walk this morning, and kept the heart rate in zone 3 for 95% of the time. So I will be ok to resume running when the weather is cooler. Happy 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Ah, well done, that sounds great! I had under-estimated quite how hot it was so definitely earlier and slower for me on Weds!

Well done, you’re right about running earlier! And more slowly (if you can 😊)
