Very quick 30 min morning run through my sun-dappling forestry route, providing cool fresh shade in otherwise a morning sunny heat.
Am about to finish Season 2 on Zombies, and am delighting in this series of quick runs that do not dehydrate me and (after stretch and shower) leave me refreshed, ready to first Yoga and then go into the rest of the day!
Not sure when these quick runs became ‘refreshing’ (or ‘quick’), remembering that 30min continuous running was quite an achievement not so long ago!
And, this might be ‘my summer thing’: quick refreshing runs on shaded routes, and once the temperatures fall again, extend to longer, slow and deliciously meditative runs.
Happy running everyone!

That looks like a very enticing place to run CBDB ! I won't be running today because of the heat. I'm aiming to go out first thing on Saturday morning to run a (not) Parkrun along the seafront, hopefully with a bit of sea breeze too!
What a brilliant route, no wonder your runs are so refreshing, I feel refreshed just looking at those pics 🌳🌳 my main route is just concrete without any shade whatsoever... even though it's by the sea, it's not very refreshing when it's this warm and sunny 🥵 I'll just have to use my mental imagery and think of your beautiful woods 😊
That’s something I’ve noticed recently that I feel refreshed and ready for the day after an early morning run, usually 5k-ish. Don’t know when that started happening, it just did!
