A month? Really?

I can’t believe it’s a month since I last posted a run here - I did write something for a run at the end of June but didn’t get round to posting it 😳! I really haven’t done a lot in the last few months and my last run was a week ago but I shifted myself this morning and took the niggly hip out for a trot along the seafront. It was only 3km but somewhere along the way I found a bit of my missing mojo and quite enjoyed myself! The plan is for the next one to be a little longer as I build back up to 5k again. My New Years Resolution of getting to 10 miles may not happen this year but if I can get to 10k (or close to it), that’ll do! Happy running folks!

Well 3k is definitely better than 0k OGR, and the fact you picked up some of your mojo along the way is a bonus! So glad your hip is allowing you to run again. GSR 2022? 👊🏃‍♀️😀

Not sure about that cheeky - at this rate I’d need to start now in order to finish on the same day as the rest of the runners!!😂

Slow and steady, well done on completing that 3K run along the prom OGR, I am so happy to know that you found a bit of your missing mojo, onwards and upwards 🏃🏾 👍

Thanks Al - the rest of the mojo must be out there somewhere!

Good to see you ran and found some missing mojo on the way, my mojo runs away if I faff for too long

Well done Oldgirlruns. It sounds like you did that 3k in a good time. It was quite muggy this morning too.

Thanks Dexy - yes it was quite warm wasn’t it!

Well done for getting out there! I know what you mean about missing mojo. Hoping I find mine again soon. But it sounds like you took your first steps back!

Blimmin mojo is a pain at times, especially when it does a runner! With apologies for the pun!

Last November my dream was 10 miles by Spring after two spell on the IC perhaps I'll get there by Spring 2022 ! Do you want to join me?This running business is as much mental as physical at times isn't it ?

Good luck with your build up.

Thanks dijep- it’s good to have nice company on the IC! But frustrating- just as my hip started to get better my knee started to grumble and that hasn’t happened before. It’s great getting older! Good luck with your 10 miles build up!

Enjoyment is half the battle OGR!👍

Great that you're not putting too much pressure on yourself OGR. You'll still reach your goal, I'm sure and you're getting out there which is the most important thing.

It seems a lot of us are having a bit of a dip for various reasons but experience tells and we'll soon be back. Happy running😊
