Strange I know but I am genuinely so happy I managed a really slow run last night. I have had a couple of long runs in the last few days (10K and 8K) so I wanted to take it really easy over 5K but I always end up pushing without realising - Maybe my music choice is to blame, but I often find myself speeding up when my mind drifts off - last night I focused on the pace.
I ran the 5K at 7:30min/KM which is 1:30min/KM slower than my usual pace and I have to say it felt great - almost effortless, and I felt like l could have run forever.
Also.... no aches in the morning!
I am definably going to build a slow run into my weekly regime going forward.

Hi Thommo23..Ooh I'm definitely with you on those lovely slow runs, normally I save them also for anything over 10K, but I must say today I had the most enjoyable run I think I've ever today!had, slow paced 5K.. took in how well and easy it seemed.. isn't it amazing to run so free and easy sometimes... We don't always have to smash it!!! 👍
