So glad I ran today ๐Ÿ˜

I talked myself out of running yesterday morning... woke too early... then dozed till too late... donโ€™t like to run when too many people about... too windy... not after Iโ€™ve eaten etc

And then sulked with myself all day because I hadnโ€™t so today I just rolled out of bed, into my gear, grabbed a banana and headphones and off I went. And Iโ€™m so glad I did. It was just a really nice run - breathing felt good all the way.

I didnโ€™t really even notice my surroundings that much ( except to sidestep a few other runners and dog walkers) I was just โ€œ in the zoneโ€ enjoying the fact I COULD and WAS running. My feet felt bouncy and light, nothing was hurting and I could breathe easily. Itโ€™s the first time Iโ€™ve felt like that since I was running 10ks easily last summer. I began to think maybe, just maybe I WILL get back there again. So that is week 2 of B210k done and Iโ€™m looking forward to week 3!!!!

Came home and showered and still felt so good that I did 30 mins of Pilates - Hip Flexor Release and Spine Mobility and now Iโ€™m attempting to make bread. I think it over-rose if anything so il have a wide flat round loaf instead of a nice dome but who cares. It will go down the same hole as if it was perfectly shaped. If anyone says anything itโ€™s โ€œartisanโ€. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜ก

Yup Iโ€™ve done loads today, cleaned right through the house, ironed and polished ( and I hate housework) . Gonna be a complete slob tomorrow. Actually I might put the gazebo up...๐Ÿค”

Sounds like a great run. ๐Ÿ˜€

No flour in these parts to bake anything ๐Ÿ™€Itโ€™s one of the empty parts of the supermarket!

No flour here but I had a couple of bags of bread mix squirrelled away at back of cupboard. My kids always laughed at me and my โ€œ siege cupboards and freezeโ€. Not laughing now are they??

I had a couple of bags of bread Mix in back of cupboard- โ€œ just in caseโ€. We canโ€™t get flour here

Sounds lovely. I walked a running route yesterday and that felt very strange but there was more time to appreciate the flowers and blossoms. What a beautiful time of year!

Lucky you, having bread flour! Wherever did you get it? We make bread regularly under normal circumstances but haven't been able to for a couple of months due to lack of flour. Really missed it.

Thanks

Looking forward to a time when I can do 10k and think of it as โ€˜easyโ€™. Have done about 5 and still feel like I am dying for about a hour. However I then have a burst of energy which lasts all day. On non-run days I am bad tempered, hungry all the time and generally a bit miserable!

I only got to that stage after about 18 months of running every other day and then coming back from injury I was so determined. Iโ€™m nearly back to 10k again ( well I tell myself that but 6.5 is as far as Iโ€™ve got again at the moment ....but I know if my life depended on it I would do it).

It is so worth the effort it's just getting on and doing it. I was the same today but made myself go and felt so much better for it. Well done us !

You have inspired me to get of my but and start again haven't run for such a long time put weight back on confidence levels so low I'm very conscious of other people ,thinking look at that fat get so I have always run over rough ground were most folk wont go ,but now corna is about everyman women and dog are , about which makes it even harder ,and I find myself making excuses not to go so I totally empathise with you good on ya please carry on u are a star x

Thank you. I used to worry about what people thought when I larrupped by but now I just donโ€™t care... I am running for me ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Well done on the run. Iโ€™ve been using similar excuses, desperately trying to get my mojo back.

Just drag yourself out there and donโ€™t worry about pace -just run and enjoy your surroundings
