I talked myself out of running yesterday morning... woke too early... then dozed till too late... donโt like to run when too many people about... too windy... not after Iโve eaten etc
And then sulked with myself all day because I hadnโt so today I just rolled out of bed, into my gear, grabbed a banana and headphones and off I went. And Iโm so glad I did. It was just a really nice run - breathing felt good all the way.
I didnโt really even notice my surroundings that much ( except to sidestep a few other runners and dog walkers) I was just โ in the zoneโ enjoying the fact I COULD and WAS running. My feet felt bouncy and light, nothing was hurting and I could breathe easily. Itโs the first time Iโve felt like that since I was running 10ks easily last summer. I began to think maybe, just maybe I WILL get back there again. So that is week 2 of B210k done and Iโm looking forward to week 3!!!!
Came home and showered and still felt so good that I did 30 mins of Pilates - Hip Flexor Release and Spine Mobility and now Iโm attempting to make bread. I think it over-rose if anything so il have a wide flat round loaf instead of a nice dome but who cares. It will go down the same hole as if it was perfectly shaped. If anyone says anything itโs โartisanโ. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐ก

Yup Iโve done loads today, cleaned right through the house, ironed and polished ( and I hate housework) . Gonna be a complete slob tomorrow. Actually I might put the gazebo up...๐ค
No flour here but I had a couple of bags of bread mix squirrelled away at back of cupboard. My kids always laughed at me and my โ siege cupboards and freezeโ. Not laughing now are they??
Sounds lovely. I walked a running route yesterday and that felt very strange but there was more time to appreciate the flowers and blossoms. What a beautiful time of year!
Lucky you, having bread flour! Wherever did you get it? We make bread regularly under normal circumstances but haven't been able to for a couple of months due to lack of flour. Really missed it.
Looking forward to a time when I can do 10k and think of it as โeasyโ. Have done about 5 and still feel like I am dying for about a hour. However I then have a burst of energy which lasts all day. On non-run days I am bad tempered, hungry all the time and generally a bit miserable!
I only got to that stage after about 18 months of running every other day and then coming back from injury I was so determined. Iโm nearly back to 10k again ( well I tell myself that but 6.5 is as far as Iโve got again at the moment ....but I know if my life depended on it I would do it).
You have inspired me to get of my but and start again haven't run for such a long time put weight back on confidence levels so low I'm very conscious of other people ,thinking look at that fat get so I have always run over rough ground were most folk wont go ,but now corna is about everyman women and dog are , about which makes it even harder ,and I find myself making excuses not to go so I totally empathise with you good on ya please carry on u are a star x
