I ran in the rain πŸ₯³β˜”

I did it really rained, oh ok it was a shower just at 5k but this was a shower that would've had Noah running for his hammer and nails yep it was rain of biblical ferocity πŸ™‚ but I carried on splishy sploshy splashy... And loved it.

I carried on further down my regular towpath route as I'd seen other runners using that direction before. Lovely wide traffic free running. Then a hill 😬. Up it I went trying not to let it kill my pace, hills are mysterious things the short sharp steep ones πŸ˜• or the ones that gradually stretch on for what seems like forever, the latter came at about 6k soggy from rain (still falling) glasses that were in need of windscreen wipers, the hill stretched on.... And on phew.

The strangest thing though, of actually found a route I really like running, the 10k leaves me with a warm down walk just the right distance from home, normally I'm walking too far at the end of of run, my inner satnav must be on the blink 🀫.

More rain for that last Kilometer but it was nice and cooling...

10k stop watch 57.58 almost 1 whole minute off my previous fastest how that happened I don't know,

But hey things happen πŸ₯³.

Are you running today, you are fantastic get out there Lace up the shoes and goπŸ‘πŸ‘

Well done. I recall you also ran a sub 60 10K in the snow - bad weather clearly brings out the best in you!πŸ‘ And you are a minute faster than my first and only sub 60 10K! 🀬 😁

Hi Forbidden P the times and the weather are really bewildering, but given your slightly more senior than my youthful 1/2 century your 10k time is I think pretty darn fast πŸ‘

Teeny weeny ones are great for boosting confidence, you can slowly make them tiny winy steeper and longer if and when you feel like it. πŸ€—
