Never let those anti run gremlins beat you! Cunning little blighters they are, they'll worm their way into your head, excuses and the like for not wanting to see you run we've probably all experienced them, the important thing is never let them win 💪.
Take today I woke from night's later than planned, the 🌧️🌧️☔was throwing it down grrrr . Do I really want to run? Gremlin attempt no.1
Mrs Wife and the eldest were snuggled cosily on the sofa watching a weepy film both with tissues 🙄. I could've easily boiled the kettle and took comfort in a warm Milky coffee and watched the rain from my dry chair. But but I want to run, I luckily dodged every drop of rain whilst completing my c25k journey, but that was way back. I've since embraced running in the rain and it's fabulous 🥳. Mrs Wife half mentioned she needed sugar for baking, the gremlins leapt at the chance, before I knew it I was in the car heading towards the shops, ( brief detour to recce Fridays fishing venue) an hour later returning home i noticed my Jaffa cakes stock had been replenished 😋 stealth gremlin attack should I have a couple and a coffee, it's only 2 hours before I leave for work grrrrr..... It's now or never I threw on my shorts and teeshirt, trainers laced just opening the back door the heavens opened. The gremlins last hurrah. I left them in the house I set my Garmin to run and off I went.....

I battled their attempts to kidnap my mojo today and I won 👍, I ran my quick before work 5k loop in the rain and the puddles the boat traffic is back in place on the canal but in general its still a quiet Wales....
Keep safe everyone and enjoy those runs..... And Jaffa cakes definitely taste better when you know you've earned one or two 😋
My gremlins won today....possible the first time actually. I got dressed went out in the drizzle wasn't feeling it but thought let's do it ....Gremlin 1...just before end of warm up walk I had to take phone call from the doctors so stopped....Gremlin 2.... post phone call carried on forgot to put strava on urgh Gremlin 3......carried on heavens opened...Gremlin 4....I turned around after 5 mins and ran home. Nooooo
Well done on your much better will power. Had I had any jaffa cakes in the house I'd have scoffed them 😂
I guess 5 mins run together with 5 min warm up walk and few more mins of walking home is better than nothing.

😈🔨 so glad you took a hammer to those pesky gremlins. Once they get their claws in they can be hard to shake off. You definitely earned your Jaffa cakes!

got back from my run today and stepdaughter and youngest granddaughter popped round for coffee. I generously offered my Jaffa Cakes and same said granddaughter ate four!! I’ve only got 6 left!I’ve now asked her sister for the recipe. 🙁
I also had managed to complete C25K without having to run in the rain !
I did my first run in the rain soon after completing the programme... It completely took me by surprize.. joy of falling rain, the sound, the smell of the earth... and I also managed to achieve 5km in under 30 min,got my PR for 1 mile and 2 mile... I absolutely loved it so much.. and cant wait to run again in the rain...
Running should be a free and as easy as possible 👍 stripped back and basic for me works, no music, no clutter of headphones just me my trainers shorts teeshirt and the outdoors 🙂
