Yet another tentative restart

grumpyoldgirl profile image
โ€ข40 Replies

Here I am again, not on the bridge but I've restarted c25k again a year after breaking my ankle. My physio has given me the go-ahead to get on with it and has finally signed me off ๐Ÿฅณ

So far I have run week one, repeated it, and just started repeating it again. Next week I might venture onto week two but I might just do week one again! I'm also still doing Pilates and I've started Zumba gold to keep strengthening those joints.

When I first ran c25k, I did one of my final runs while on holiday in Keswick, and my profile picture is from that run. Well, this week I ran along the shore of Derwent water again, early morning with hardly anyone about. A bit like beachcomber's post, it just felt wonderful.

It was fabulous, and so nice to return there after lockdown. One person walking his dog at the water's edge, and me๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello gog! How wonderful youโ€™ve finally had the go ahead to run again, and what an absolutely stunning place to do it. I can only dream of such a lovely route. I bet the Pilates has done wonders for you, and the Zumba will keep you in good stead as well. All the best with week 2. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you frenc, I love my Pilates and I'm sure you are right about it getting me fit again. Derwent water is so beautiful isn't it, and we were blessed with the sunshine. Magical.
