After getting email notifications that Instructor57 and Jools2020 have recently posted, I felt that I should do my first post in a while- I hadn't realised it was the end of March since my last post about my 10k!
This morning I decided to go for an early run and doing my longest run since doing a 7k at the start of May! Although I started to feel the heat towards the end and my lower back started to hurt, I can honestly say I enjoyed it - my pace hasn't improved in a while but I'm not fussed about that as I know I could do more to help with that and I haven't.
I feel pleased that I pushed myself to go further than I have been doing in the last couple of months so hopefully I get the bug again and keep at it in terms of regular runs as the last 2 months have been a bit hit and miss... π
When doing the JuJu's Bridge to 10k across Feb and March, I easily did around 55km a month but since completing that, I achieved 43k in April and only did 6 runs for a total of 29k in May.
As I'm writing this I'm shaking my head as I know I'm being hard on myself because around 15 months ago I started the C25K and I know I've been doing more exercise than I have ever done before (even with the May distance being 29k, there are interval runs/walks I've been doing which I haven't tracked on the Nike app so I know I've done more than what I've logged, I just need to remind myself of that!!π€¦ββοΈ)
Anyway, a bit of a rambling post but I'll make sure I don't leave it as long next time
Have a good day all!
