Yesterday was my day to run the virtual vitality 10k. It was a beautiful morning but had the twin distractions of being extremely hot and lots of blossom floating in the air. I knew I could do the distance but planned to run to the half way point and run with some walk intervals on the way back. I am happy to report that I completed the distance in 1 hour, 6 minutes and 33 seconds. I am quietly pleased as I haven’t taken part in anything like this before, but now I feel this is the start of something new. I think I have the “bug.”
Looking forward to Park Run returning too

Thank you. I have messed around just running about 5k for ages, and not really being consistent with getting out there on a regular basis. Now I know I can do this distance, I hope to work up to running all the way.
Sounds like a great challenge to work towards. Although I'm only at w4 of C25k at the moment, I have run further in the past and loved 😍 10k distance. So I'm hoping and looking forward to getting back to that distance too one day... one step at a time though 😀 Enjoy - and v well done again 🌟
Good luck with C25K too. I found it amazing that I could start from not running at all to graduation with a 5 K in 9 weeks. Great programme-keep going. 🙂
