I usually post my running moans so thought I’d mix it up with a bit of positivity!
I had my first run after a week in Portugal that included shed loads of amazing food and wine! I thought I would have a nice easy 30 min run this morning and ended up running for nearly 50 mins with a great time for me. I was pacing myself for the first 15 mins against a younger female runner, which made me up the pace ( she turned back at 15 mins so I thanked her and carried on!)
Anyway my takeaway is drinking lots of Portuguese wine is good for your running pace or was it the week of rest??

Sounds like you had a good holiday! I have had a week off from running and had a fairly good run today. I will drink lots of wine over the weekend and let you know after my Monday run which worked best.Always ready to help another runner (by drinking wine)!
