So with 110 runs and 123 dedicated walks since last August LEJOG04 has been completed today and I have been very fortunate to complete the last run a 5k at John O’ Groats. The weather was lovely and I was in two minds whether to run in short sleeves and shorts - a gust of wind came along whilst I was deciding! At 2k I wished I’d gone with the former. Not to worry it didn’t really matter as the joy of the day, scenery, excitement and sense of achievement was just wonderful. I had planned to finish in June but it came clear it would probably be Mid May and hopefully restrictions would be easing so we were able to plan a short holiday and complete the dream 😴
What a great motivation it has been. Thank you for all the support and encouragement on Health Unlocked everyone.

Huge congratulations on your amazing achievement. What a journey you’ve had especially with it actually ending in JOG. I’m completely in awe of you and all the other amazing people on here who can even think about starting this and even more impressively finish it either virtually or in person. Maybe one day! (Could probably manage the 5k you finished with🤣. ) 👏👏🏅🏅
Thank you Hareshaw-Granny it’s been quite a journey through the Autumn and winter, it certainly got me up and out on rainy days! I absolutely know you can do it- do have a go 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
24 hours earlier and you could have had a VRB meet up with Sandi1961, who posted a pic at the same spot yesterday! Huge congratulations on finishing your LEJOG - a fantastic achievement! I hope you plan to have a suitable celebration this evening!
Woohoo well done Over62! How fantastic to finish at JOG. 👏👏👏👏 Now you can look forward to receiving your well deserved bling. 🏅
Funnily enough Sandie1961 posted a photo of herself there yesterday too, although she’s on holiday, not because of LEJOG4. Wouldn’t it have been great for two HUers to have been there together? 😀
Such a shame I didn’t know you were there. I was in JOG yesterday although on holiday in campervan and didn’t run. Going to do a Cape Wrath 5k tomorrow instead!
Sandie what a shame we missed one another, we saw lots of camper vans, I did the run late morning and then picnicked on the bench overlooking the harbour by the signpost! Thank you for your congratulations and enjoy your 5k today.
Wow that’s great congratulations! When I started it I also thought I’d finish it in situ so I’m pleased you managed. Incidentally I also logged my miles today and realises I’ve reached jog too! Let us celebrate 🎉 this great achievement!
Also just worked out why it’s called Lejog... i thought it was just a way of saying jog that was part French.. dog!
It is and did you see your email woth a certificate? Think I’ll print mine out . I’m starting to think i need a running wall for medals and certificates
