I am getting back into my running rhythm following awful conditions over the past couple of weeks so I set off this morning for my Wednesday 7k in fine drizzle, I also wanted to achieve a sub 4 mins on a section on Strava called the Long drag and to the the person who named it - spot on. Did I achieve my mission? Sadly not by 4seconds🤣 not to be too dismayed I achieved my PB on this stretch and no longer propping up all the other runners!
As the drizzle turned to rain and coming close to completing the 7k I wondered where my distance would get me to on LEJOG04 to my surprise I was through Carlisle and am now at Kingstown approximately 8 miles from Gretna Green so with a walk and my 10k on Friday I should virtually be in Scotland at the weekend- that is if the van I’m now sitting on the bonnet of is going in the right direction!

Welcome to Scotland Over62, from that photograph you look like you are hitching a lift on a van which of course you are not, the weather forecast for Scotland is for rain ☔ or snow 🌨 on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday so make sure you keep nice and warm
Well done Over62! It’s surprising how much running there is still left to do in Scotland, but psychologically it’s a great milestone isn’t it? Keep on trucking, and see you in JOG! 🏴
Glad you’re enjoying it so much Over62, enjoy Scotland, I’m in Lancashire and loving having a look around to see where I might actually like to visit and run when we are able to travel again. 🤗
It’s been an incredible journey so far CBDB to get in touching distance of Scotland. So lovely that you are enjoying cider country, there are always compensations! Thank you for directing me to Adrienne for yoga sessions this January, it’s really helped to get me to pick up my rhythm and routine again after such horrible treacherous conditions that we have witnessed here. Let’s keep forging ahead wherever we are on the map of the UK🇬🇧
