LEJOG04 virtual world meets real world!

I have been keeping a very close eye on my running journey travelling up the 🛣M6 from Birmingham onwards, it has been amusing to see familiar names and places.

I live about 5k from the M6 and there is a straightforward route of a road and a bridle path which goes directly under the M6, with a public footpath to a canal which is also directly below the M6, the calculations excluding my 5 minute warm up worked out that I needed to run 4.6k to be under the 🛣Motorway on the canal!

So setting off in a completely different direction to my normal route I set off to achieve a virtual world run, meeting a real world run and of course place my pin! 📌

The calculations were spot on and I arrived at 4.6k directly under the motorway by the canal, success!!!

I have to say the watching, planning and running the route has been a lot of fun.🛣🛣🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🌍🌍📌📌😀😀

That's very interesting being able to run for real and virtually at the same place,

There have been strange sightings with Lejog, people taking lifts on the back of cars, even someone on a plane, but that's virtual, but no one has cheated at any time, onwards and upwards 🏃🏾 👍

Clever Over62, 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I like what you’ve done there, I thought about running part of it for real myself but I’m as Far East from the route as you can get and with travel restrictions I’ll have to content myself with just virtual 🤗

That’s lovely, it was because I realized I could be close it was worth thinking about how I could combine it, the nightmare was making sure everything would work leading up to it and on the day. 😀

Thank you Beatlesforever, I originally had it in my mind to run the last few miles at JOG and hopefully I will still do this as it’s going to be around April/May time, you have given me an idea now to look at possible places further north and see if I can do something similar. I keep giggling when I look at the pin 📌 I made so it would be a shame not to use it!🤣👍🏃🏻‍♀️
