I never thought I would be here but here I am! Graduated to week 5 and I feel really enthusiastic. Managed really well and looking forward to pushing myself tomorrow (I did the run yesterday). Hubby came and and watch with awe (I may have hammed it up a little!). Feeling pretty good but have to say that being part of this group really helps me stay motivated and part of something bigger. Have decided to go back to Slimming World too - having lost 3.5 stone previously I have put 2.5 stone back on - so instead of feeling like a failure - I am starting to see the clear way forward knowing I can achieve anything I put my mind to. I am looking out my size 12 jeans and plan to get into them by August..by then I should be running 5k like a pro!!!! Thank you all for being on my journey with me!

What a fantastic post. You sound so upbeat and positive, I love it! You’re doing so well. Week 5, the mid point. You already know you can do it, you know how it works, so you can be confident of succeeding 👍👍👍

Thank you so much BaddieThePirate! I am trying. I have had some depressed thoughts after losing my job - but I am pulling myself up bit by bit! I really feel positive about being able to do the 5k - I am excited to see it happen!

Sorry to hear about your job loss. It’s difficult, because it’s part of your identity, so will affect how you see yourself. Great that you are building a new and better identity 👍 Time to rebuild.
