Runkeeper’s apples and running from lions

My weather app continuously suggests rainy weather but these mornings of the past two weeks have been glorious.

So I set out for a short, pre-work run, with Runkeeper’s Boston Fan promising me apples and beer, and in the Zombie world some surviving communities seem to have fallen into the fashion of playing with lions, which left Runner 5 running through a safari park from lions with an appetite of non-zombified human flesh! Gulp!

And in the real world, my beautiful C25k route showed itself in full glory, with wild garlic at the riverbanks, farmlands with inviting views and small snailing paths, winding themselves through coppices and clusters of trees.

Beautiful!

Beautiful pictures CBDB! I know what you mean about this weather. It’s been quite lovely at the moment and the mornings have been quite kind to us runners so far enabling us to get out for runs🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️.And it’s been so so warm🥵.

Once again I wondered this morning when getting ready for my run .....do I need an extra layer....? then the sun appeared and so no extra layer👍😀😀x

😂😂👍

Here the weather is weird too. One moment there is sun, the next there is rain. Haven't been running since Friday due to a calf injury. Going to try a 10 minute run tomorrow and I am sooo hoping for good weather. But the temperatures are weird too, it's really difficult to decide what to wear. I guess better too hot than too cold?

Oh, wishing you some brilliant weather! It will feel sooooo good, I’m sure! First runs (after enforced breaks) are the perks that come with a stint on the IC!

In terms of clothing I have a sleeveless hoodie which allows me to run in summer and winter, only with adding one additional long-sleeved t-shirt in the winter. Works brill for me!

Ah, I might have to look into such a sleeveless hoodie kind of clothing too. I now run mostly still with my winter shirts, which are thin fleece shirts. But sometimes they are getting a tad hot when the sun comes through. Then again when running in the shade, it's chilly again. Ah, it's never how you want it 🤣

Great photos and sounds like a really lovely run. A bit stressful with lions chasing you though - I'll bet that got your pace up!!! 🤣🤣

Actually wore shorts for the second time this year this morning! - still a long sleeve top though which I regretted-but only for 5minutes at a very sunny spot along the canal, hopefully better days ahead to look forward too, love your route 🏃🏻‍♀️👏👍

Glad to hear you’re still defending us from a zombie apocalypse, CBDB. Wild garlic, pretty views and lions sound like wonderful distractions on your run! 😊

It’s great just listening to a chapter of a story run after run. And also have the music of my choice as well. So perfect for me! 📚🧟‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🎷

I downloaded the app a while ago but though I’d keep it for the light mornings 😳

Well, as long as you switch the Zombies chases off, it is not as scary. 😂😂

Love it! We have wild garlic along the River bank, and in our woods. I have some on the allotment too 😊

Yes, I love wild garlic. I tried to naturalise it in our garden but we’re not too successful. But in the woods their smell is gorgeous.
