Well, that was different ...... and didn't take that long ......
The path across the top of the steps you can see in the pic is about 4m above the parallel path at the bottom (though it feels much higher). The lap is about 450m, the climb round the bend at the left hand end is about 1 in 10 and the steps about 1 in 5. The descent at the right hand end needs to be taken carefully, as the path is a bit polished round the curves there. The start pin is at one of our favourite cafés, where we booked a table before we started, and the finish pin in the car park whence we retrieved our tracksuits before proceeding back to the café for a late brunch (the spell-checker insisted I added the accent to "cafe").
As some of you may know, I love my stats and was visualising 5 laps of the obvious circuit so I could check lap times and so on ..... but I was running with Dexy5 , and as soon as she opted to go up the steps on the third lap that idea went out the window ..... the fourth lap we did the climb round the bend again, and that provoked a cry of "that's me done" from somewhere behind me, so I ran on and did the steps again before catching her going along the bottom. We then took the comparatively flat loop round Southsea Castle on the left of the pic, returning along the prom before I did one final full lap of the hill while Dexy proceeded to the car.
So for me, four climbs round the bend and two flights of steps done putting effort in, the rest quite gentle. Garmin totals are 3.5k in 24 mins with a miserly 28m of elevation gain (I'm sure there was more climbing really). But well worth doing as an experiment, and I reckon 10 laps of the basic circuit would be a serious workout for me ... we'll just have to see.
Oh, and the really important bit - I had an egg and bacon bap, and Dexy poached eggs and avocado on toast. And a cappuccino each of course. Job done!
No emojis 'cos I'm on the computer and it's not offering them today! And the suggested tag is "laparoscopy" .... ??

Going up the steps were not my best idea as the steps were too far apart for my little legs. Not sure two footsteps on one step work either.
This exercise will definitely strengthen my legs so I do want to try it again. No pain, no gain. But maybe not the day after I had done lots of lunges, bridges and calf and Achilles exercises. My muscles were aching before I started. 🏃♀️⛰🏃♂️
I always envied my son the promenade run when he lived in Southbourne - by the sea, no traffic and dead flat (although if you wanted to put in a hill you could always run the zigzag path vertically up the cliff🤣
