Running after hamstring injuries

So I have tried to take it easy running after straining both my ham strings. I found that when I couldn't run i did Yoga to help stretch my tight upper legs and hips. I am back running short runs just 3K's and 5K's but all I can say is I feel so glad that I am back out enjoying the freedom of the run and the exhilleration of completing. Although when I am running it feels a struggle once I have completed it I feel I could have done more. Hopefully I will be back to 10K's in my schedule soon.

Well done Nannyshirl, that’s great you’re back running! I know what you mean about the run being a struggle, but you can’t beat the feeling after. I’m sure with a bit of time you’ll be back doing longer runs - it can seem a waiting game sometimes! All the best. 😊👏🏼🏃‍♀️👍🦶👟

Great you are back running 👍I'm sure you will be back to where you were if you continue what you are doing, as we know , it takes time to recover .

I have just recently got back to 10k's after a bit of a niggly hip .

It's worth the wait .

Good luck 👍
