When I run slowly (which I love to do) it’s too slow for any real toxic 10! You’ve inspired me to go out on a really slow run. I tried a couple of weeks ago to keep my heart rate low but for some reason it just shot up and stayed up. Probably because I’m going through stressful times. I need to try again soon, I think. Just to go out and run slowly for an hour with no other agenda 😊
You’re obviously coming back from injury so you obviously have to take care, but well done for getting out there 👏👍
Thank you, and you hit the nail on the head really stressful time for me at the moment , I need to take that into account with my heartrate, but yes I will do a really slow hour-ish on Sunday.
Running is so good for our mental health. I’m sorry you’re going through stressful times, too.
I want to do my slow run at the weekend, but I have my 2nd vaccination on Saturday so I’m just going to wait and see how I feel. Good luck for Sunday and I’ll look out for your post. 😊
I had just a few runs of trying to keep my heart rate down to my MAF limit .I found it really difficult, I was having to walk every couple of minutes to bring it down .
I gave up on that limit but almost all my runs are still at a conversational pace, and have been for months and I notice my HR Is now fairly stable .
I do notice however that it is higher with stress, and also as a sinus sufferer it's higher if I have had decongestants
