That looks like an interesting run Alan, it’s lovely running beside water isn’t it!

It is a beautiful lake, loch as its Scotland, most of my route is around the loch where there are many swans and other forms of wildlife. 😊

Very well done Al. Great running and great time. I need to sort myself out and try to get my mojo back to run a 10K again. I’m struggling with 5K.

You did mention that you have not run further than 5K for a while, the way I got to 10K was to increase by 1K a week until I got to 10K, I have been doing that every Wednesday for the last few weeks. Until that 10,000 London virtual run, I'll keep at running 10K on a Wednesday, after that, I may increase, again by 1K a week until I get back to 16K or ten miles and who knows after that.

Very well done Al. I’m just really struggling to get motivated at all. I’m so tired and sick of having nothing to train for. I need an event to motivate me. Just plodding around the same old boring route does nothing for me anymore. So I’m always full of admiration for the way in which you have remained so full of motivation to keep going every week. Well done again.

Well done! I love the squiggly bit in the middle. A really good time too. 😊👍🏃‍♂️👏🏼👟🦶

My 5K run is made up of 3 parts, the first is mainly off-road then through a very small housing estate where I have measured it exactly as 1k, that's the squiggly bit as I ran around that 3 times for the first 3 Kilometers, after that I run around that loch which is almost 3K, if I do the longer part through the woods that makes 4K, however, I thought that the wooded part would be flooded yesterday, so for a 10K or longer runs I just go around it as many times to make up the distance, all off-road.

Fantastic Al. Well done again. Bet the Loch was gorgeous to run around. 😍

It was gorgeous to run around, there were many swans and different types of ducks as well, I am going to keep to a 10K run until after the London 10,000, after that I'll increase my distance by 1 kilometre a week until 16K/10 miles and perhaps longer than that if things go OK

Fantastic idea. Hopefully with the lovely summer weather (🤞) you’ll have plenty of opportunity to increase your distance as far as you like. 🏃‍♂️
