I have a challenge on my Garmin to run 80K in April,
After a great 10K this morning I'm at 48K
so still quite a bit to go..two 6's two 5's and another 10.. doable if all goes well π
This was my 4th 10K and today I set off at 7am after waking at 6 itching to get out there π it's a beautiful Morning here and was lovely and quiet on the route I took today.. the views were stunning I should have paused to take some pics, but I don't like to stop..like to run continually..for fear I stop I wouldn't start again π
It was a really good run.. focused on my posture more and happy to say it really helped..my hips and back didn't get achy and my legs felt strong, I managed a personal best again and my last K was my fastest π
Can't believe 10K's are becoming regular..and I actually look forward to them π²
Home had a lovely hot bath and feeling fantastic πππββοΈπ

Heh, another PB Caroline, your smashing this now!!! ππLovely sunny weather down here too, got alot on today, but hope for a 10k tomorrow, we'll have to do another one together again, we're probably quite similar pace now! π₯³π₯³π₯³
Well done sparky, you sound on top of the world! No surprise there, that was a fantastic 10k, and everyone loves a PB. Woohoo, what a way to start the weekend! πππ
Thanks, yes I feel top of the world..π love that cool down walk after a good run..when a good tune comes on I feel like dancing in the streetπBut will save that till tonight when I pour a well deserved lager πΊ
Yes I seem to be liking the distance, just taking it slow, getting to find that easy pace.. a few more under my belt in the coming months and I can see them being my favourite βΊοΈ
I've done a few now, and am working to longer distances. 10km is a good balance between the more intense shorter distances and the slow burn endurance needed for the longer distances.
More coincidence! Destined to be twins π―ββοΈ π This was only my second 10k, though. Iβd say from experience to date, that like this distance a lot (also really enjoyed 7, 8, 9) . Iβm having to take care on a knee niggle so Iβve tried to ease off a bit from these longer distances since my first 10. Today was a bit of an aberration, but I was just so happy to be out in the early morning sunshine and concentrated on taking things very gently.
Excellent, yes they all count. Well done πIβll be doing a short one tonight after work as I did my second 10k on Sunday. Wanted to know if the first one was a fluke π so I am definitely planning a slow slow 4K π
Brilliant, good luck on your second 10K, just remember set out slowly..it's a long way.. i find if I set out slow..then I have more stamina and usually have a faster second 5K π
