I nipped out for a rural 5k this morning. The sun was warm, so a shorts and shirt job. There were a few people about, but everyone was observing the social distancing rules to the letter, which adds a bit of balance to some of the stories we hear every day. My legs were obviously feeling the strain of a two day layoff (I spent all of my outdoor time walking the legs off Molly yesterday!) so I decided to up the pace a little bit to 31.32, which is ok for a trail, and the usually miserly VO2Max even went up another point🤷♂️. Sympathy award I think! Garden today, with Molly playing pinch the trowel whenever you turn your back....just adds another dimension. She has at least moved on from her puppy game of bite the head off every flower which appears..she didn't eat them, too much sense for that. But first, a well earned cup of coffee. I am sure that I printed off a recipe for chocolate brownie which someone in here sent me a while back.....might try my hand at that.....missing the post run cafe culture. Stay safe; and I am sure we will all spare a thought for those hard at work keeping us that way; they are amazing.
Everybody behaving themselves: I nipped out... - Bridge to 10K
Everybody behaving themselves
I think now the message is clear, people are finally getting the point. Most people anyway. I'll be going out later for my week 3 run, right now I'm sitting in the garden successfully avoiding picking up the spade 😁
Right with you thanking all those who are working through this, bless you all 🙏
It’s getting better out there with less people out here today, glad you got out
Good run BC66 - nice. So good to get out, isn’t it. Molly sounds fun, at least she didn’t eat the flowers 🤩
She is a head case Gran4z...very intelligent and affectionate, but a menace too! 🙂
I noticed that when I went for my rural 5k this morning. At one point, though, I felt like I had a guard of honour - 4 people standing in a square probably 8-10m apart on the pavement each side of a road and I ran down the middle between them 😂
Had to cancel my hair appointment this morning, so by the time it’s been rearranged I’ll probably resemble Molly. I don’t bite the heads off flowers though!
Our Molly (now 11 and a half) was a pain in the garden as a pup but is fine now. The kids often remind me (though I don't remember, so prefer to think they made this up) that at one point I said 'if she digs up one more pot she's going back! (She used to drive me absolutely nuts!!!). Hope the brownies were good. Our daughter's our brownie queen, but she's temporarily moved out (😥) to protect the rest of us while she's working. Maybe I'll suggest some celebration brownies for when she's home again 👍
Just like my (late) Old English Emma, so mischievous 😂🐾🐾
