COGH - Getting close to the finish line

We are now about 1 week away from the finish line, and there have been a few discussions about how best to to complete the event. It has been a group effort to get here, and we are keen to finish in the same way. The plan is as follows:

- we will continue as we have been until we get to the COGH museum symbol in the map above, which is 5km from the finish line.

- everyone should keep logging their runs and walks so that we get to the museum (don’t worry about over-running the museum).

We will all run the last 5km from the museum to the finish line together over the bank holiday weekend (29/30/31 May)

- I will set up the system to recognise a 5km run or walk over that weekend as part of the final group run

We would like everyone to take a photo or selfie on the final run (in COGH t-shirts if you have one) & post in response to Sue’s post:

Almost there, keep on running!

Great plan Charles1, so as well as being my 50th (not)parkrun, this Saturday morning will be my last 5K run on COGH.

Brilliant, a group finish. I will be in my 50 parkrun shirt but will certainly log the 5k Charlie.

That's amazing, thanks so much to you Charlies1 and all the admin team.

Really stupid question: will the system recognise a run or walk of more than 5k dated 29th, 30th or 31st May?

I haven't set it up yet - so don't know the answer to that! I think I will be able to set it to allow longer runs - so you can enter the correct distance that you have run or walked. I will confirm before the weekend.

Thanks Charlies1 . If you can't, no worries, it's my problem, not yours!

Brilliant! Thanks to everyone for all their hard work 🙌🏼

I think there’s quite a few of us running the Vitality 10K over the weekend...hence the distance question maybe?

Ah, in that case, I’ll arrange for 5 & 10km as part of the group run. Thanks for letting me know.

Good idea - It may be a part walk/run as I am in Devon this weekend and it will be my hilliest/most hilly run ever.

Perfect, Im sure that Devon and Cornwall is UKs equivalent of COGH & the terrain is probably similar too!
