We are now about 1 week away from the finish line, and there have been a few discussions about how best to to complete the event. It has been a group effort to get here, and we are keen to finish in the same way. The plan is as follows:
- we will continue as we have been until we get to the COGH museum symbol in the map above, which is 5km from the finish line.
- everyone should keep logging their runs and walks so that we get to the museum (don’t worry about over-running the museum).
We will all run the last 5km from the museum to the finish line together over the bank holiday weekend (29/30/31 May)
- I will set up the system to recognise a 5km run or walk over that weekend as part of the final group run
We would like everyone to take a photo or selfie on the final run (in COGH t-shirts if you have one) & post in response to Sue’s post:
Sounds absolutely brilliant Charlies1 - thank you to the COGH team and a special thanks to you Charlies1 for your incredible technical skills, it’s been a wonderful achievement for everyone involved. Bring on the COGH museum ready for the final 5k incredible teamwork run! 🏆🏅🏃♂️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏾♂️🏃🏿♂️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
I haven't set it up yet - so don't know the answer to that! I think I will be able to set it to allow longer runs - so you can enter the correct distance that you have run or walked. I will confirm before the weekend.
Thats a wonderful idea C1 and thanks again to you and everyone involved in organising this its been so much fun and has greatly improved my geography and general knowledge for our quiz’s 😊
Thanks for setting this up, it’s been wonderful. Thanks to all the contributors too and all the runners/walkers. It’ll be great to do the last 5k as a group.
