OK, it's not the milestone 10k that some of my lovely VRBs have enjoyed this Easter weekend, but it's a milestone for me at the moment. π So, hooray! This week I managed a cumulative 10k over my three runs. It's been a while since that happened.
After a rather up and down few months, I finally feel like everything has begun to fall back into place over the past couple of weeks. Must be the sunshine βοΈ
I could do with slowing my pace down though..... don't know what was going on there today. I have noticed my pace has picked up during these shorter runs, but I know I'll never sustain that on longer runs π. A bit of a fluke methinks π€£.
Today the tree pollen count is high, so a few quick pauses of the Garmin were needed amongst the trees so I could reach for the tissues.π²π³ I have learned the hard way that the stop-and-blow π€§ method is much safer than the run-and-blow method β οΈ, having nearly come a cropper on tree roots a few times - oopsπ¬.
Time to start increasing that distance I think, ever-so gradually.
Photos are of my route this morning. It felt a lot warmer than the 8 degrees shown on my watch. The wild primroses are from my dog walk this afternoon.
Thank you dijep. Everything just felt a bit better today. Fingers crossed that it continues that way. Isla is a complete cuddle-bug and great at posing for photos. She's looking clean as I'd kept her away from the water today!! How's your Alfie hound doing?
I thought she looked very happy having her photo taken. Alfie is in a mad mood today I think it's the windy weather. There wasn't anyone on the playing fields this early morning so I let him off to run. He does circuits must be a hang over from racing, quite scary to see his acceleration and speed.
Happy Easter π£ Delly-dot and to your adorable four legged friend, itβs wonderful to feel things coming back together again after a tough time,( Iβm sure the sunshine helps a lot too) enjoy the rest of the BH and your journey back to 10k π€

Thank you MrsJorge π€. Just need to remind myself to go slower so that I can run further.....
Lovely to see that things are working out for you DellyD. Its great to have you posting these collages again. Onwards with the comeback!!!π€πͺπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Great runs Delly! And the fact youβre feeling faster over short distances is surely a plus. Oh, and I adore your dog! π₯° π
I can run and blow, but it has to be choreographed - no spontaneity! I found that the colder and windier, the more it happened, hence me being quite the expert now. π€§
Keep up the great work, and happy running! πββοΈπββοΈ
Oh thanks Cheeky, there's hope for me yet then. π€§ I do hope that maybe I'll manage to choreograph it too at some point, maybe when running on the pavements and roads, it would save me time! As I mostly run trails though, I am constantly needing to keep an eye on the ground as there's far too many trip hazards. I'd be in dangerous territory if I add on-the-go nose-blowing to the mix!π€§
