I was playing with settings last night on my garmin and thought I’d put auto pause back on, don’t know what I was thinking of, every time I stopped to take a photo garmin paused and I had to run some to get it going again, by the time we’d finished Willow had almost a kilometre more than me so i ran round the grassy bit and back through the woods to catch up
So, 5k today, run/walk, over hills, through woods and the views were a bit clearer, our legs are definitely getting stronger
There were a few friendly dogs today who sniffed or jumped up to say hello but that didn’t matter because we aren’t trying to win any races over the Downs,
at least our trail shoes are getting plenty of outings
Have a good day everyone

I get hot running and those hills don’t look too steep but they go on and on, i spotted myself in the mirror this morning while dressing and my shoulders and chest are really getting tanned and the rest of me is pasty white lol
Yes it is lucky you😊 back to our thermals this week brr
😊🐣 sounds a perfect Easter Sunday run. Well done to you both Stunning photos.
I got so cross with Garmin’s auto pause that I also turned it off. It was really winding me up each time I had to stop and blow my nose. It’s hay fever season for me at the moment and the tree pollen has been so high the past few days that I can’t avoid pausing to give my nose a good blow 🤧 a few times during a run. I learned the hard way that it is safer to stop and blow than run and blow, having nearly come a cropper a couple of times.
It’s much warmer today - lovely to run in t-shirt & capris. 😊🌸☀️
A lovely run again. That is such a love photo . I shall be very jealous if you tell me it was during or after your run! My running look is more if the bright red face, wild grey hair sort of variety !
Ha ha it was after the long up hills and half way down the down hills, for some silly reason I dyed my hair bright red, can’t think why as dark blond looks natural and close to my real hair colour, terrified to wash it because it will fade to bright orange I’m not usually that pink either lol 😂
To be honest on my phone you don't look pink, just tanned and your hair looks strawberry blonde. You just both look healthy, relaxed and happy-holiday obviously doing you good.Enjoy the rest of it.
I had to smile reading your post, having had regular highlights up until a year ago, I have been tempted a few times to dye my hair at home, just to have a change and brighten myself up. What stopped me each time was the fear of ending up like a carrot
I’m sure when i wash it there will be more than a hint of carrot, I can’t remember the last time i went to a hairdressers, many years ago, I’m one of the few women who didn’t even realise hairdressers closing was a problem, and every so often I trim Willows hair and the rest he ties into a pony tail. Just don’t colour you hair with anything that says chestnut or honey in the colour and it should be fine, there are some nice temporary colours out there
Yeah, I remember and being retired and running is good because it gives structure to your week, I’m now aiming to get out for a while whether it’s a work day or not, either walk or run, Lockdowns have made travel difficult, at least we can walk out the door and run. My car gave up the ghost at the beginning of the first lockdown so i walked to work for a while and although not far it stopped the habit of after work running.
You have progressed steadily from the beginning which I admire, our running is a little more sporadic and i’d like to get more regular outings, it’s a good time of year to do that, hence more walking and running this week I’ve been off
I’ve made a vow to get out every day but hope i can keep it up after work, it’s good to get out and feel better for it, good luck with your RED April, i shall enjoy reading your posts
We felt a bit exhausted to be honest, those hills go on and on but we did feel happy. Our Garmins do make us laugh at times, i set up a one minute walk one minute run on mine and that’s what i got! no stats nothing just buzzed and flashed every minute and then the battery ran out
😂😂 well yes there is that , you were running it , I was just looking at the lovely photos 😄I remember trying a bit of run/walk , felt pleased I’d actually set it up but hadn’t removed a pace alert that I use on runs to keep me within a reasonable pace .
It kept buzzing to alert I was going too slow or fast and I thought it was telling me to walk or run .
Couldn’t understand why the intervals were so short 😂😂
Got totally confused and had to stop , I was all over the place with ‘Buzz Garmin’ haven’t tried it since 🥴😆
