One whole year running, my first runniversary and a very special day for me.
In December 2019 my mum died and had lost her ability to move unaided. In her memory and to make sure this doesn’t happen to me I decided to start C25K on what would have been her 87th birthday on the 1.4.20. Got to 5k and then decided to transfer to the bridge forum and have a bash at 10k. After a few stints on the IC I decided to take it a bit slower and quickly realised that I could complete this today on what would have been her 88th birthday.
Done and dusted 10.07k in 1.16.59 with a 10k split of 1.16.29. Really chuffed with that and know that Mum would have been very pleased with it too.
The run itself was pretty hard going, with a constant headwind no matter what direction I was running. At least for Scotland it was dry!!
Looking forward to some better weather. Safe and happy running to all.
