Brief recap on my running journey so far. Started C25K last July and completed in September. My next goal was 10k before my 53rd birthday in May. Winter in Scotland this year played havoc with getting a regular run schedule but persevered and managed a minimum of 2 runs with distances of between 4:and 7km. Saturday morning first thing has become my longer run time and yesterday everything just fell into place, weather was perfect, hydrated well during Friday and I just made my mind up to go for it. Run went really well after usual toxic first ten minutes, got into a good rhythm with breathing etc and finished with a time of 1.07. I never thought back in July that I would be running 10 by end of March.
