Finally... back on the Magic Plan Chain Gang (dooo...dadadi dadadoo πΆπΆ) sorry, was listening to the Pretenders when running, which helped with my 8k target, (where I got to last time) but uff π₯ it was a bit of a slog.
Stamina was ok, knees held up, back as well, my right little toe gave me grief but not sure what that was about. So I sloggled on, and I could have sloggled further, but boy did I slow down. My whole legs just got so tired, not really achy but weighty and tired.
But on the good side, 8k! Yey! π€Έπ»ββοΈAnd I could hydrate with my new hydration belt! π¦π€ΈπΎββοΈπ€ΈββοΈ And as it was Monday, not many walkers were out! πΆπΏββοΈππ»ββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπ€Έπ»ββοΈπ€ΈπΎββοΈ
Happy running everyone!

Yay, very well done! ππππ That is fantastic news about your knees π I've still not used my hydration belt but I got a vest for Christmas that I think will be easier to deal with than the belt. I can't wait to give it a try once I'm back doing longer runs πββοΈπββοΈ
π€£π€£I went the opposite way. Got a hydration vest for Xmas but the belt was easier to deal withπ€£π€£
Youβll get there, Iβm sure. Probably before me! Patience is half the battle. I think I need a few weeks now doing 8k runs for my long runs before heading on to 9k.
You're so right, patience is the key! Maybe I should've asked for some patience instead of my hydration vest for Christmas π€£ It looks like you've found the best strategy for you, I'm in no doubt you'll reach whatever distance you put your mind to πͺππββοΈ
2k, yes. But Iβll be good and stretch the next 2k training over as many weeks I need! I think I got to make sure my limbs are ok with the additional 2k. But all those yoga and ITB workouts have worked! Not a single niggle by my knee!
