Three weeks ago I caught some form of Covid-stomach bug, and I was down for a good 10 days, seldom having felt so ill!
Once I started to eat reasonably normal again, I introduced some gentle rowing, and then a couple of tentative, little runs last week marked my progress.
They felt great! And they felt if I lost some weight, which yup, I unwillingly did. (There’s always a silver lining, isn’t there?) 😁
I’m three days in with feeling completely solid and eating solid again (ok, apart from my usual gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free low carb way of life).
And today I actually aimed to do another repeat jeffing run, as illness struck just before Week 5 Run 3 of my repturn to C25k.
But accidentally I put on just that Week 5 Run 3 instead of the run before, but rather than stopping it, I just said to myself, if I struggle, I can always break the 20min run up with a minute walk. I kept my Runkeeper running just in case (I always do), and it was there to keep announcing the passing of every minute.
However, no need for break! I ran the whole 20min through, without too much effort.
So it feels I’m pretty back to where I was 3 weeks ago, which is great to know! It hasn’t set me back too much!
Weather though has changed. What I also missed during my illness was a planned short family break. And that was a bummer, as we don’t do these family breaks that often. And it would have been by the seaside in hot weather.
And now it seems the summer is over! Oh no!😢
So I put a playlist together that does quite the heavy lifting of trying to get the summer feeling back! Voila! From missing my family break, I now have a fab summer playlist to run to! (Silverlining, see?) 😀
So if you need a playlist with a hot summery feel, try this one:
