Fourth pair of shoes just purchased. Now have one pair of trails and three pairs roads.
Bought some new Brooks two weeks ago to replace my trusty New Balance roads but I had a nagging feeling that although the Brooks are nice, the New Balance are super comfy and I’ve done loads of miles in them without issue.
So today I decided that I’d buy those too and pop them in the cupboard for when I need them. A new version is out so they have £35 off- bargain.
A runner can never have too many pairs of 👟 shoes. 😁 Congratulations on your new purchase. Once the Xmas spend frenzy is done, I may well be self/gifting and adding to my collection. 👍
Yes that’s what I figured. Can never have enough shoes.
Self gifting is definitely the way forward. Other half is out too so as long as the kids don’t blab all will be good 👍
Having only ever had Brooks, I can safely say I won’t change unless they radically re-design and muck up in the future! Having wider feet, the Brooks are excellent at accommodating them! I’ve now got three exactly-the-same pairs and am on the hunt for decent Brooks trail shoes too...!
Yes I’m coming round to the view that if it ain’t broke don’t try and fix it.
My father-in-law has had an amazing 12 months, purely running in his old “whatever they are” trainers. But last night he completed a 57:00 10K at the Olympic Stadium last night... 4 minutes faster than ever before. And it was in his brand new Brooks... which he described as “like running in a pair of slippers”...
...’nuff said... 😉
