Speedy 3K - running away from the computer!

Had a free lesson today and with 4 hours of online teaching on the menu, followed by 3 hours of parents' evening, I thought I'd take the opportunity to sneak out for a run.

So of course the first issue was What To Wear and of course, I got it Wrong. It was actually warm enough for shorts (always is for Grannyhugs!) and I went out in long leggings, a long sleeve top and a zip up top on top!

Anyway, invigorated by my lesson with yr7 (which consisted, as all lessons do these days, in talking to 28 circles with initials in them, as NONE OF THEM put their cameras on - not inspiring), I set off up the road.

Started off quite pacy (uncoiled spring comes to mind). Trotted past some lovely crocuses coming into bloom - or croci? Anyway, really enjoyed getting out and I knew I couldn't go far (year 11 at 11.50), so I only did 3K, but manged it in 18:38 with a negative split (6:01), which is super fast for me. Definitely made the rest of the day stuck in front of the computer more bearable.

Happy running! πŸ˜€

Could be worse, you could be fleeing from Year 1/2 - they would all be logged on wanting to show you their dog, their new toy, all their family etc 😁

Good for you! I'm in the same boat. I lose the will to do anything late pm after a full day of remote teaching, giving relentless (ignored) feedback & planning so I sometimes spend the day in my running kit. The fact that I've endured the evil sports bra all day ensures I definitely go out - even for a 3km pootle.

The end is in sight - keep going! πŸ™‚
