So 3 months ago when I entered it the Hexham 10k seemed like a cracking idea.
Now having watched the hail coming down and temperatures around zero with wintery showers forecast for tomorrow, not so much.
However I have dug out the winter running gear (compression long socks, long sleeved compression top, woolly hat and running gloves) and I'm all set to go.
Hoping for a decent time, if possible around 1 hour 5 minutes or better on what is described as an undulating but fast course.
Race report tomorrow folks!!!
Run happy, run safe.

Wishing you good luck❤️ and a good time⌚for your run tomorrow at the Hexam10K Chris.
A time of 65 minutes or less would be good but as they say here on C25K it's not the time you achieve but the enjoyment you get from running 🏃which is more important, 😊
Dont over dress Chris, you will soon warm up. Just be sure to have warm clothes at the finish 👍🏼
Good luck Chris. I've got a run tomorrow morning too and I'm just getting prepared. I'm going to layer and even wear a light jacket which i can take off and tie around my waist. And hopefully have someone to meet me at the end with something wooly!
When I saw the news this morning I wondered if it would still be on My neighbour is in the north east at the mo and sent me photos of snowy scenes They were going to the footy though, so I had my fingers crossed for your event
An experienced running buddy gave me the advice that the best policy is to dress for the ambient temp plus 10 degrees. You will be a bit chilly to start with but not overdressed once warmed up. At zero degrees I'd have thin running bottoms, top, thin gloves, a light windproof jacket and a hat.
