After a bad week of life issues I.e. our house sale fell through after 4 months buyers changed their minds.
I felt like a drink last night but managed to avoid the temptation even though my OH was sitting at the side of ne drinking a g&t.
Not so the red January had no motivation Friday and Saturday couldn't even be bothered to go to the gym 🏋️♂️
This morning I decided to carry on with the NRC program I was on week 3 or run 3. Well 1 minute run 🏃♀️fine then I listened to what I had to do for recovery 🤣 believe me touching your toes 🤣 trying to put my hands on my head🤣(I have a torn rotator ) is not the done thing when your running on the pavement in the town centre🏃♀️🏋️♂️🤣🤣
I did manage to complete the 3rd run though if not very speedy
Happy running everyone 🏃♀️

Going "dry" wouldn't really be a problem for me. My usual intake is a single bottle of ale with a main meal at the weekend. I've gone for several months without a drop of alcohol before.
WOW. Resisting a drink after devastating news like that shows extraordinary resilience if you ask me. That's such bad luck for you, do hope someone else comes along and snaps it up double quick. I've slipped a couple of times with nowhere near as good a reason. Glad your back on your nrc plan too.
Yes its the recovery hands on head cant reach my head cos of bad shoulder and touch toes letting arms swing to relax and recover ready for the next run. Hope I didn't mis hear him 🤣🤣
It’s really hard to run every day…. I’ve read posts other years and wanted so hard to try it but due to lots of things I failed to run on day 1 so that was that! maybe next year. Dry for me is a lifetime thing, as i don’t drink alcohol.
Just know though that we are all here cheering you on and being proud of you
That’s such a disappointment and happens to most people I know. You know what? I’m a big believer that these things happen for a reason and that even better things are meant to be. It’s all in The Plan! Well done though on resisting a drink!
You did well to resist the temptation. Losing a house sale is extremely disappointing (happened to me twice so I can relate) I was doing dry January too or my version. 1 day where I can drink for each calendar number of the month, December is free of restrictions. Yesterday I tested positive for covid again, so I'm afraid my total for January is 2. Maybe I'll only allow 1 for February ...
Sorry to hear about the house doggytail . Well done for sticking to your dry January resolution, and getting out to run too. I particularly like the bit about the toe-touching in the town centre! 👏👏
