so as the title says i have set a goal challenge of running 50 mile during the month of march and im bit unsure of how to begin / startout , i have run before as recently as january where it was up to to around about the 2 mile mark but i stopped running to fully focus on this months ( febuararys ) challenge which was to walk 300 mile as this month is slowly closing in i wanted to set fresh goals for the coming months but as stated earlier not sure how to go about it , surely walking 300 mile this month should have some positive attribute and endurance to my next months challenge , any advice and help would be greatly appreciated , thanks

The walking should help you with your running, as for the 50 mile running challenge for March, I wish you well, if you wish to run 4 times a week during the 4 weeks of March you could run 3 miles on a Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday or whatever 4 days a week you choose, that would be 12 miles a week over 4 weeks =48 miles, you can add on another two to make up the 50 at any time, good luck for 50 miles challenge for March.

Great effort on your 300 mile February, that’s a massive distance to walk, your 50 mile run target for March will be a dawdle. Mix up your distances, don’t panic and try to push for too long distances too early. It’s amazing how all add up. I did my 1st 100km month in February 2020 - 15 runs ranging from 4.5 km to 8km and 2 runs at 10km. I don’t see the 10km badge next to your name so if you’re not ready for that distance yet then looking at my runs I covered 80km - 15 miles with 13 runs. I wish you all the best. Happy running 🤗
