(Not) Park Run

Lie-in this morning, then a few hours on the computer planning for next week and eventually out for a run! I usually run in the morning before breakfast so I skipped lunch and went out about 2pm. Felt fine, nice day, bit of wind and plenty of mud so Squiggy definitely needed a hose down when we got home.

I am trying to get into a new routine of three runs a week - Saturday 5k (trying to get a little quicker 😉), Monday long run - 10k+ (day off ) and a short mid-week run (usually a slow plod since I am tired after school!).

Last Saturday I was so tired I didn’t run and ended up running Sunday and Monday. Since I managed an 8 day streak over the Xmas holiday I knew it wouldn’t be a problem. I hope to keep running three times a week and gradually increase the long run working up to a 10 mile run in the Spring. 😊

Happy running everyone, keep safe.

Ah, another teacher! I’m glad I’m doing RED January, as running after remote teaching is the only thing keeping me sane at the moment! It’s definitely good to run three times a week minimum so a great idea to get into the habit 💪🏽

Best of luck with RED January 👍. I am in school four days with key worker and vulnerable children (reception/year 1), my colleague does the online lessons, which is a lot of extra work.

I’m Year 1 too - previously Year 6! We have the TAs on a rota with the vulnerable kids in school and all teachers are remote teaching from home. It’s hard though!

Kudos for fitting your running around work, especially at this time of year SS. Your running week sounds perfect. 👏👏 Lovely photo of Squiggy! Bet he loves the mud. Flossie actively avoids it! 🤦‍♀️🐾

He is so busy chasing squirrels that he doesn’t even notice the mud 🐿😂. He is not very keen on the hose pipe though 🚿!
