Well that was definitely slow but at least I stayed safe. I ran out of the village again today. But o was it icy. Nearly gave up but then decided to run on the bumpy verges instead. Hard work😓. But managed another 3 k run. That’s 2 this week. I’m struggling to find longer routes where there are no dog walkers was out early this morning but still met a few folk probably trying to do the same as me avoid people 🤣🤣🤣stay safe everyone. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️

Well done staying upright on the ice, we have more really cold weather, so annoying not being able to just run. Happy running 🤗
Well done, that's quite an achievement running on ice! My friend, who's a very outdoorsy person and lives in Scotland, recommended yaktrax for walking/running on ice. It may be worth checking them out if you don't have any ice grips 🙂
Well done Scruff55. Trying to find alternatives when its icy is a must and like you say running on the grassy bits is harder as I have done this also. 😊😊
Verges are a bit dangerous as they are soooo bumpy especially when the big tractors have been on them. Living in a village I don’t have too many options if I don’t want to go up hills so at the moment I’m doing circuits just outside the village but never mind a run is a run anywhere🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad you stayed safe - but oh that ice 🧊 we are at the mercy of these winter conditions of where we live and what the weather decides to do. Take care, longer runs soon👏👍😀
