Not quite but almost!!

β€’20 Replies

Hi all just to let you know I did my first 9km this morning, yes it was slow at 59 minutes, but it's the first time I've jumped from my usually 6km, so I for one am chuffed, it even snowed for like a minute or two. I didn't push myself just chugged along with a mini sprint to get me home. Now coffee (maybe a biscuit or 2) have a good day, 😁

Very well done on your 9K. That is not slow at all.

Thankyou I guess I just base it on 5k should aim for 30 minutes then 10k should aim for 1 hour, it's something to aspire to one day!

You need to run a little slower for 10K, it is a completely different distance to 5k. But 10K training is great for 5K pace improvement. I found that there is a 2 minute difference in finish time between the 2 distances. If you are fit and can run 5K in 28 minutes you will run 10K in 60 minutes. I'm well off that pace now. But when I was running 5K in 26 minutes I was running 10K in 58 minutes.

Great run, fantastic time - no need to push faster as you increase distance, some of us have been happily running 9k for a long time a lot slower than that. Happy running πŸ€—

Speedy in my book....when I got to an hour running that was just under 8km for me

That's not too slow, Limalima, I am happy with 8K in an hour, if you ran 10K your time would be around 66 minutes, well done on that run.

in reply to AlMorr

Thankyou that's a good target I shall aim for 10k 66 mins.

Well done on your 9k, like everyone says, that's not slow! πŸ₯΅ what happened to 7/8k? 🀣 it's funny, i did similar, going from 7 to 10. Anyway, i'm sure you'll be smashing through that 10k now! πŸ˜€

in reply to Peter44

Lol I don't really know what happened to 7/8 some days you feel are running days and you can just keep going, others can feel like you've never ran in your life! πŸ˜‚
