It has been a minute since Iβve posted! I hope you all had a relaxing festive break!
Iβve been busy with a mix of night & day shifts for the past two weeks at my Christmas temp job but I did still manage to keep the running going with a 5K and 10K each week πͺ Not quite the HM achievement I had wanted by the end of the year but still a bit of progress ....
I popped out for a lazy Sunday 10K yesterday and Iβm quite impressed with the splits considering how tired I was! π΄
I got offered a permanent job from the Christmas temp work so I think that was my fuel! But now we are back in a national lockdown so I fear I am back to square one - typical π
Ah well, the silver lining is I can get back to my HM training πββοΈπ¨
Who needs money anyway eh? π’ π’ π’
Happy running all! πββοΈ πββοΈ Stay safe & keep smiling - we have been here before and weβll get through it again with the help of running!

Hey, fabulous splits, I doubt i could achieve that on a bike let alone on foot What a shame on the work front, are you not an essential worker?
Things could be worse..... Iβm getting messages that boilers gone off at work and they havenβt a clue how to reset it, looks like iβll be changing clothes, going to work, changing clothes, resetting boiler, changing clothes, coming home and changing clothes again flipping heck π
Oh dear, I am sorry, I was being a bit flippant last night wasnβt i? Thatβs pants about work just when things were being ok The boiler saga was resolved without me having to go into work
Today is vaccine day and I must admit to mixed feelings
HM I am a little jealous, 10k made me feel like I could run forever but there arenβt enough hours in the day .....
Thatβs some lazy 10k run!! Glad to see youβre still going strong.Happy New Year from Scotland. Even with the new lockdown rules in place from midnight here, letβs hope it all goes away this year and brings us all back some normality and peace of mind.ππΌ
Thanks Hareshaw-Granny ππ» Fingers crossed π€π» for the results we need from this lockdown but I wonβt hold my breathe with this lot of π€‘
All good wishes to you for 2021. Iβm so sorry that your work situation remains unsettled; but hey! You still went out and ran in spite of the shift work.
I know there is a half marathon out there with your name on it! Well done for this 10k. Iβd be ecstatic with those splits on a much shorter run!
Thanks Jools2020 ππ» Typical - I was happy to be offered more permanent work from the Christmas temping because they only took on a handful of people from just over a hundred! Hopefully the offer will still stand post lockdown π€·ββοΈ
Those splits are mad crazy you lazy devil πΏ you!Sorry about your work situation. Hopefully something will be waiting for you once we leave this current situation behind. Let's hope for much better things for all of us soon.
A very good point.. it is only money. As long as you have your health your well off ππ» and we do get to enjoy a lot more running with the extra free time π
Good luck in 2021 and well done on the run πͺπ»
Hey Happy New Year!! I love the fact that a 10km run can be classsed as 'lazy', particularly when it obviously wasn't lazy, looking at those stats, I wish my 10km could be 'lazy' not a chance of hitting those splits'! πππββοΈπββοΈ
