Decided to start the year right with a merry 10k, despite the ice and pouring rain 🤣 nearly fell on my ass at least twice but cat like reflexes/balance skills kept me on my feet 🤣
That was toward end of the run, my first problem was literally at the start where I'd managed to pause strava while putting my phone away 🤦🏼♂️ had just switched from miles to km so wasn't sure why I wasn't getting prompts until I finally checked after around 2-3 k and found what I'd done! I almost quit right there, I knew that shiny 10k challenge wasn't going to happen today as no way I was risking 13k the way my knee has been going 🤣
Decided to keep going anyway, new route to change things up. Steady pace, no breathing difficulties and never once felt tired or out of middle gear. Stopped when I hit 7k on Strava as knee began to hurt so a 7k on paper but an actual 10k in reality...but hey ho il have to just make them Strava miles up next time!
January I've entered 5k, 10k, and 100k in month challenges, only 1 crossed off today due to stupid pausing finger 🤣🤣
I hope everybody has a slightly smoother start to there running year and I hope 2021 is a great one for you all 👍🏻

I didn’t even know you could get prompts on Strava, I’ve learnt something this morning ☺️ well done for getting out! I’m itching to get out but it’s been so icy since we had the snow fall 🏃♀️💪🏻

Injuries are feeling a lot better, cheers. I was hoping to get back out there but I’m having to self isolate at the moment after being pinged by the nhs app!! Only 3 more days to go now though 👍🤞

Yeah I sometimes use NRC too but just fancied music today so left it off, the silly thing is I have Strava on my watch so could just use that but for some reason I always go with the phone 🤣. I think because it has Strava, NRC and my music all in one place?

Hope that knee is holding up well for you 👍🏻All these gadgets we’re into now, all getting very involved but I’ve learnt something new, I didn’t know you could get alerts on Strava as you’re running 🤔 now that is useful!! I’ve signed up for the Strava 5k and 10k but not sure just yet I’m going for the 100k. Maybe next month!!
Me too. I got to 80.5km in December only doing 11 runs due to various factors. If I can get in more than 12 runs in January, I should achieve the 100km.
I took some photos whilst walking today, and the Android OS killed both my radio player app and the FitoTrack app to make room for the photo app. Grr. Thankfully my watch kept tracking me.
On other excursions, the watch has crashed and rebooted mid-run. Also Grr.
