I ran Edinburgh Runway for Hogmanay!

Well okay, I ran it virtually with my hubby 😉. As some of you know Mr D-d has been ‘Running the Runways’ for charity to support those in the aviation industry who, like him, have found themselves without jobs at the end of this terrible year. But we are fine, and all our loved ones are here and healthy. For others the year has been far harder and we don’t forget that this evening. So tonight’s run was the final runway, aptly finishing with Edinburgh for Hogmanay, where we wish our family and friends a Happy New Year. Mr D-d and the 400+ strong team of runners have done brilliantly and big cheers to them all. Maybe some of them are amongst us here on the forum.

Running tonight’s run in the middle of the South Downs was very cold 🥶 and again I illuminated the way for the both of us. I’m very proud of Mr D-d and am delighted that he’s rekindled his love (maybe too strong a word here) for running, that he’s going to continue into the New Year. I’ve mentioned ju-ju’s Magic Plan to him..... watch this space 😉😊.

Congratulations to you both for today's run and completing the Runway Challenge. What a wonderful thing to do.Though out this awful year there have been so many positive stories of people undertaking incredible feats or simply being there for those in need. I think that's what we need to try to hold on to as we step in to 2021.
