Sad to be leaving but so many good memories. About to head out for my final run on this cold morning. My son will be joining me. We have never run together before as he hates running but he’s doing it for his pa. So sweet.
So farewell all you lovely running people. I don’t get the chance to post here much when I’m away but I do lurk!
Happy running!! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ And have a great new year.

Thanks Cheeky! Yes, I will pop back up when you least expect it!! 😂 My son did not run with me as he preferred to stay in bed rather than face the zero degree temperature. Oh well, maybe next time.
Hi Brian, I have just been reading a few of your posts. I was trying to hunt for one from ages back in which I think you explained where it was you go for your, hot, I think, tour where there are no Parkruns. I couldn't find it, but I see you have made great use of your time in the UK. With PBs and runs with family members, all great.
Happy New Year to you! 😊 🎉
I wonder how you keep occupied during your treadmill running. You must have it sorted to have improved your 5k time.
Hey 61andtrying, thanks for the reply! Yes, I 75-80% of my running on treadmills. If I could, I would run outside all the time but it’s too hot, too dusty, too polluted and too darn dangerous as there are no footpaths and the driving is diabolical.
I just watch TV when I’m on the treadmill. It’s all I’ve got. CNN or BBC World news. Makes you appreciate the TV back here, even if it is just soaps. 😂 Also, I set myself quite hard challenges, especially on the intervals. For example I repeat the C25K weeks 1 to 3 but run them at 12-15km/h and the walk bits I jog at 8/9km/h. That’s really really tough but boy is it good for speed!
Happy New Year everyone. Sitting here at Gatwick reminiscing on all the runs and accomplishments on this trip. Sad to say goodbye but not long till I’m back and running more Parkruns! Aren’t they just great fun! Take care everyone.
