Apologies for the double post (on Marathon Running and Race support forum too).π
This morning's run was a gloriously muddy 10k to round the year off nicely before the return to school on Monday. As you can see from the photos, the recent rain and high winds have brought down a few trees - providing a few nice obstacles to negotiate along the way! π
Time to reflect on a very strange year of running (I'm trying to keep the focus on running here - but what a year!) Too many race cancellations sadlyπ but a few virtual medals bagged along the way to help with motivation!π
In a year that has been so tough for so many πππ, I can only say how grateful and lucky I am to be able to run. πIt has helped me through some tricky times over the past few months. I do hope that as the new vaccines start to roll out, we can begin to look ahead to safer times, when we can all hug our loved ones again and run properly together once more! ππ½ββοΈππΏππ½ββοΈππΏππ»ππΎββοΈ
Best wishes and rainbows to everyone on here for a safe and healthy 2021.

I wish you a Happy New year Sandraj39, I hope that the vaccination program will be very quick, although no one knows how long before every one will have had it, hopefully by late September or October, by then things, including parkruns and event runs may have resumed or at least will soon return.
I can only echo those sentiments.Finding running this year has helped me maintain my sanity and being able to get out there and run is a real blessing.
Happy 2021 everyone and may there be many more happy miles for us all
A lovely post. You are absolutely right that running gives us an avenue for ourselves whatever the situation around us. 10k to finish the year in style πππ
